Operations Project Manager

The position is located in Danone Place Amsterdam (Hoofddorp)

Part of both the Regional OPP team, the mission of the OPP jr. manager is to drive project excellence in execution for all products related projects at both factory and European platform level (Innovation, renovation, productivity, secure supply) by…

  • Managing factory/platform projects portfolio and projects dashboard together with OPP manager
  • Leading crossfunctionally (internal & central teams, suppliers) the implementation of key projects

The OPP manager is responsible to animate and drive total COGS performance of the projects / products in scope insuring its competitiveness.

In multiple cases the projects handled by the Regional OPP team actually impact multiple factories.

Main Responsibilities

Manage COVI (cost out, value in)* project portfolio (factory & platform)

  • Challenge/clarify requests (deliverables/Objectives) with SN Europe Operations Projects Manager
  • Take part to prioritization and implementation plan
  • Mobilize and drive crossfunctional resources 
  • Monitor, track key projects advancement/performance & KPIs
  • Support in monthly COVI Project Review driving
  1. Lead and implement key projects
  • Insure project management practices are in place
  • Execute & coordinate
  • Deliver right first time
  • Insure link with suppliers for project settlement/execution and structural issues management (cash/cost/Service level)
  1. Animate full COGS performance of the products / portfolio in scope
  • Report with Finance on overall projects & COGS performance evolution of products / portfolio ins scope
  • Escalate issues if required to appropriate stakeholders and build risk mitigation plans if targets at risk

*COVI projects :

  • Productivity project (R&P, Controllable cost, etc)
  • Sourcing/innovation/renovation projects
  • Secure supply (New suppliers/sites approval, contingency plan settlement, etc.)
  • Regulatory driven product changes.
  • Suppliers operational performance development projects

Key KPIs

  • Key COVI projects delivery ( RFT - on time, at cost, at targeted quality level)
  • Full COGS target
  • Cash results vs. R&P/SF
  • Suppliers Service Level  if relevant

Competencies Required

  • Experience in Project Management &/or projects portfolio management
  • Knowledge, experience in Manufacturing/ Supply chain operational/ Technical environments
  • Ability to manage functionally and remotely cross-functional and international teams
  • Solid financial/ industrial performance acumen
  • Excellent proficiency in managing Office suite:  Excel/Powerpoint / ERP (SAP...)
  • Experience in the food Industry is a plus
