About the Job

As Project Engineer Utilities you will manage utility related projects from A to Z, from the needs assessment until implementation. You are responsible for the definition of the project scope and the budget management. 

The role offers a broad scope. This position is focused on Utilities / Building projects. This covers projects of building construction, energy generation (steam, cooling),distribution and end user control. Environmental projects are part of the scope including projects on Waste Water Treatment Plant and CO2 footprint reduction program.

A sample of your responsibilities will be:

  • Prepare and deliver technical projects for the plant with clear understanding of the business and industrial objectives.
  • Prepare and execute projects considering objectives like additional capacity, productivity, quality or standard/ maintenance requirements.
  • Evaluate implementation with supplier control and coordination with production area
  • Be accountable for the quality of the projects, time to market and investment cost control
  • Assess current Systems and make recommendations for future capacity enhancements. Embrace a philosophy of “continuous improvement”

 As a Project Engineer Utilities you will be in touch with different plant teams: engineering, operations, maintenance etc. On the other hand you will be in regular contact with external suppliers as well.

You will be reporting directly to the Projects Engineering Manager and are responsible for the coaching and follow up of 1 direct report.

About You

You obtained a Bachelor in Electrical, Electromechanical, Civil Engineering or similar. In addition, you have several years of experience in managing utilities projects in a production environment.

A relevant experience in the food, FMCG or pharmaceutical industry is a nice-to-have, but not a must to be successful in this role.

It would be great if you

  • Know your way around AutoCAD and MS Projects
  • Speak Dutch or would be willing to learn
  • Are a team player who can work autonomously as well
  • Have excellent communication skills
