Project Optimization Manager S&P
About the Job
As our new Sourcing & Projects Project Optimization Manager (S&P POM), you will be responsible for Industrial Trial management, translating innovation into products and packaging we can make at our plant in Rotselaar. You will schedule, organize and optimize all industrial tests and new product start-ups according to factory capability. For this, you will act as the plant’s Single Point Of Contact for Operations, R&D & Quality, essentially being their eyes and ears on site, providing technical expertise about industrial feasibility for innovation, renovation, productivity and sourcing. In short: assessing the resources needed at factory level and the planning for the projects themselves.
Based on this, you will propose and support recommendations that lead to the right match between the Raws and Packs (R&P) specifications on the one hand, and the industrial capability on the other. Hence, you become the owner of the plant’s compliance to standards & specifications, being accountable for consolidating & updating the factory’s capabilities as well as the factory’s catalogue (R&Ps, finished products, process & technology) and its optimization.
- Contribute within the local project portfolio review steering committee
- Have main Interfaces with R&D, Operations, Quality & Procurement
- Interact directly with plant team (maintenance, production, quality, supply…)
The connecting element between innovation and factory.
Besides a Master’s degree in Food Engineering you bring several years of experience in a factory or in R&D. You are a well versed in project management and organizationally sensitive – you’ve worked in matrix organizations and with multiple stakeholders before. You are autonomous but highly capable of getting people “on board” and you know how to convince them.

- Are Fluent in English and Dutch. (French is a benefit)
