Senior Data Manager
Driving the data management expertise within the R&I department by providing state-of-the-art innovations, solutions and processes for data management of clinical research.
The Senior Data Manager is a member of the Data Sciences department, part of the Global ELN Center of Excellence Clinical Research. This dynamic department with more than 20 colleagues, is responsible for the data processing and the analysis (mainly in SAS) of clinical studies within Early Life Nutrition. The Senior Data Manager works in close collaboration within the team of Clinical Data Sciences (Data Management, Statistical Programming and Biostatistics), as well as clinical study team members and other stakeholders within Clinical Research, but also with stakeholders of other science centers within Nutricia Research R&I. The Senior Data Manager reports to the Team Leader Data Management within Clinical Research - Early Life Nutrition. The Senior Data Manager will be responsible for reviewing the protocol, write data management and validation plans, design case report forms (eCRFs), and implement edit checks.
Other key responsibilities:
- Perform and monitor user acceptance testing, data validation, data cleaning and medical coding
- Provide listings for regular safety reviews towards study teams
- Prepare and lead the data review meeting
- Coach and train other Data Managers
- Develop and improve SOPs and work instructions

We are looking for a Senior Data Manager with:
- Master’s degree in Health Sciences, Computer Programming or Biology
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in clinical data management within clinical research of the pharmaceutical industry or academic research
- Has good knowledge of CDISC (CDASH and SDTM)
- Has experience with SAS, MS Project, JMP or similar software
- Demonstrated ability to take initiatives, work independently and precise
- Solid Project Management skills
In order to be successful in the role of Senior Data Manager you have excellent communication skills (in English) to interact with a multidisciplinary project team at Danone Nutricia Research and with all other parties involved. Additionally, you have the leadership capabilities and a vision on Data Management to engage people within the team as well as the various internal and external stakeholders. Last but not least you are a flexible, enthusiastic and open minded professional who is able to come up with effective solutions to bring the quality and processes of Data Management to the next level.
