Your role & responsibilities:
Your Mission: applying your statistical expertise within the R&D department by providing advice and support in the design, execution and interpretation in the statistical analysis of preclinical and clinical research.
The Statistician will be part of the Data Science Team of the Global Center of Excellence – Clinical Research. This team is responsible for the statistical expertise in a clinical study within Early Life Nutrition. The Statistician works in close collaboration with the team of Data Sciences (Data Management and Statistical Programming), the senior Team Leaders of Clinical Research as well as the Principal Statistician. The teams work according to high scientific and operational standards. The Statistician reports to the Senior Manager Biostatistics within Clinical Research - Early Life Nutrition.
Other key responsibilities
- provide expert statistical input and advice into the key documents for clinical trials, specifically, but not limited to, statistical analysis plans and study protocols
- conduct hands-on statistical analyses of clinical trial data, including close collaboration with statistical programmers
- collaborate and provide technical support to clinical and life science researchers
We are looking for a Statistician with:
- Master’s degree (PhD would be a plus) in Statistics, Biostatistics or Mathematics with a strong statistical content.
- Some experience/exposure to biomedical research, clinical trials, and good clinical practice (GCP), drug/product development would be an advantage
- Be intellectually curious with a passion for problem solving using mathematics and statistics
- Highly computer literate.
In order to be successful in the role of Statistician you will have excellent communication skills (in English) and be able to interact with multidisciplinary project teams across Danone Nutricia Research and with all other parties involved, such as CROs. Additionally, you have the ability to explain statistics orally as well as in writing to non-statisticians. The role is based in an experienced team of statisticians of varying levels of seniority, and part of the Nutricia Data Science Community. For the Statistician we are looking for potential is more relevant than experience.
