About the Job
Cycles & Procurement (C&P) is the organization within Danone that sources materials (raw & packaging) and Services & Goods for the Danone company. Alongside the sourcing teams, we have a Quality & Food Safety (QFS) organization, which makes sure that all the systems & processes are adequately designed to ensure sourcing of right quality safe materials for Danone. The QFS team also ensures that all relevant people are aware about the processes to support the effective implementation.

We are looking for an intern who will:
- Transform existing written instructions and processes for Food Safety and Quality into easy to read and appealing guides – i.e. the Promotional Objects Sourcing & Quality Procedure.
- Create a questionnaire that will be used to continuously gain effective understanding of the supply chain of material traders as well as asses the potential Q&FS risks involved with each
- Work together with the Crisis Management Subject Matter Expert to develop training programs
You will be fully in charge of this project, which will have a true impact on our way of working and in the end on the food safety and quality of our products! From benchmark of how other companies are doing this, to an advice to the team and the creation of this product itself. What this ‘product’ should look like? That’s up to you!
You are a master’s student in Food Technology, Food Engineering, Food Science, Quality management, Dairy Technology or related backgrounds. You are enthusiastic about Danone’s mission in delivering safe and high quality products to consumers. With your passion for collaboration and ability to apply your digital knowledge you are able to bring a fresh perspective and are not afraid to introduce your new ideas or challenge the status quo. You are eager to learn and strive to understand detailed information in order to push your knowledge to create breakthrough results and support your team in further development. You are a well-organized person who respect deadlines.
These are our compulsory requirements for an internship:
- You are enrolled as a master’s student at university during the whole period of the internship;
- If yu are a non-EU citizen, you need to be enrolled at a Dutch university.
- You speak fluent English – written and verbal
- You can start as of October 2019 for a minimum of 6 months (4-5 days per week);
- You are willing to travel or to relocate close to Hoofddorp, the Netherlands
